Our Invisible Fence is IN!

Good-bye leash.... hello free running!!

We bit the bullet and spent the money...we did it just as much for us as for Gypsy. We won't have to worry now and we can enjoy having her with us all the time. We had them run the Invisible Fence around about 3/4 of a an acre. Now we can play ball and not worry and set up the agility course. I can't wait to get that pulled out! Gypsy and Cricket have both enjoyed the tunnels in the basement (until the chicks came and took up the basement). I know she can't start jumping yet, but we can start with everything else.

Gypsy is 6 months old now. I can't believe how she has grown. I also can't believe how madly in love we have all fallen for this beautiful puppy. She is amazing! She's a bit shy, but that's compared to our Coton-Zhu and I am NOT complaining! Cricket is like a cranky old lady....like I plan to be someday;) She is only 3, but if my son says "good-night Cricket." she'll look at him from 3 feet away and growl. Really...she's funny. She is very much MY dog. She has all the traits of the Coton de Teluer.....very much a companion dog and very bonded...but just to me.

Gypsy on the other hand is a ball full of furry love for everyone. She doesn't bark at joggers, she stays right at my feet, she is full of kisses and energy. My husband gets all the credit for his months of research in finding us the perfect match. We went from a very long list of dog breeds to our Miniature American Shepard and all those hours and hours on the computer have paid off.

Do You Mind??? Sleeping Here..

sleeping with her pet soccer sock.....after the game...mmm

huh.....
Gypsy is now 5 months old and 24 pounds. They grow too fast.....:( She's doing great in Puppy School but we still have to work on leash walking.
No training needed for herding chickens! No one can doubt the power of genetics when they watch a puppy do what her breed is meant to do with no training at all.
Word of warning...never think you are going to go jogging ( or even run to the mail box ) with a herding dog!

Vampire kitty.....what a way to wake up!

fair is fair

Francis....not as sweet as he looks...

Miniture American Shepard ...Mini Aussie

Bumble Bear Ranch's Chocolate Gypsy

Gypsy is a Red-Tri with one blue eye and one brown with a blue chip. Thank you Black Swamp Farms for our perfect family addition.Gypsy was our family gift for Christmas. We drove 20 hours (but were able to see my Dad in the process) on the day before Christmas because we knew as soon as we saw her picture that she was meant to be with us.

She is the sweetest puppy I've ever seen. I was raised surrounded by dogs and puppies, but after meeting the Miniature American Shepard we knew without a doubt that this breed is the perfect match for us. Even without training, she is always at my ankles when I go to take care of the chickens. She watches them so intently that I'm sure she will be a big help when she is older. She learned to run through the tunnels after being shown one time. We can't wait to start agility training and join our local AKC club. Fun...she is so fun!!!

How fast 16 weeks go.....

Perfect....just perfect love.
